Yes, reservations made under the Owings Mills and Towson room blocks can be canceled, and refunds can be received. Friends and family have already tried and were successful.

BOTH the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. If weather permits the patio will be open immediately after the ceremony, for cocktail hour, and through out the reception

We made the difficult decision of moving both our ceremony and reception because while this day is meant to celebrate our union, we wanted to ensure our guests were comfortable and warm. Unfortunately, the original sites were uncooperative, so in everyone's best interest, we made the change.

That said, we are so excited for Mapleville. As you arrive in Mapleville, you’ll be greeted by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. Most Hindu Weddings are held in a ballroom and/or a temple, and we wanted something different. Mapleville will not disappoint.

Please note: Mark’s Bharat has also been moved an hour. It will now start at 9 am. By bringing both events under 1 roof, we can also give everyone a little more time in the morning.

November is a colorful time of year in the DMV, with fall foliage throughout. Since the wedding and reception take place in Northern Maryland, both the mornings and evenings will be brisk and chilly.

Additionally, because we are near the mountains, it can be windy. We do recommend all guests bring a light jacket or layers. Winter coats are usually not needed this time of year; however, we kindly ask that all guests check the forecast before your trip and plan for your comfort.

Mark and I are blessed to have a home filled with all we need. All that’s missing are the memories from this special occasion. Your presence is all we need, but if you wish to celebrate us with a gift, we kindly request the kind that jingles and folds, not the kind in boxes.

Absolutely! There is no way we could celebrate this day without the little ones who bring us so much joy on a daily basis.

Yes, after the wedding ceremony, there will be light snacks and passed hors d'oeuvres. Please confirm your attendance via the RSVP form so that we can provide sufficient space.

While the DMV is a commuter-friendly area and there are plenty of options between public transportation and ride-sharing services, we do recommend arranging group transportation and renting a car.

The closest airports are Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA), and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

BWI will get you closer to the reception site and to where you are likely staying, but prices tend to be higher. IAD will have more flights, that are cheaper, but it is further from the reception site, and rush hour is from 3:00-7 pm (yes, it’s that bad).

Our dress code is not required but highly encouraged. We are blessed to have a guest list that is quite diverse, so we recognize that not everyone may have Indian clothes for the wedding ceremony, and that’s okay. That said, we also hope you take this opportunity to consider something new, lean in to the experience and enjoy the glam we hope everyone gets to experience because in todays busy world, how often do we really get to dress up anymore? As for the reception, gents, we hope you’ll pull out that suit or tux, and ladies, we hope you’ll treat yourself to a new gown.
